From circular coins, snacks, chapatis, stop signs, and circular wheels—circles are everywhere. Learning shapes not only helps children identify and organize visual information, but it also helps them learn skills in other curriculum areas including reading, math, and science. An early step in understanding numbers and letters is to recognize their shape. Learning shapes help children understand other signs and symbols. We at Mother’s Pride understand that learning while doing enhances understanding and application skills. Mr. Golu came to visit Prideens in their virtual classroom to meet his friends. Children welcomed him with rhymes and showcased their culinary skills by making open sandwiches and Monaco snacks. To further sharpen the sorting, classification, and creativity skills tiny tots coloured, traced, created circular objects with clay, sorted circular objects, and grouped the objects according to their shapes.
