Dussehra symbolizes the victory of good over evil. To make our Prideens well acquainted with their cultural traditions, a joyous festival was celebrated virtually. A special assembly was conducted where Prideens were told about the victory of Lord Rama against Demon King Ravana and Goddess Durga against Demon Mahishasura, both signifying the triumph of good over evil. Children dressed up as a character of Ramayana made the epic Ramayana live for all; Little Ramas, Sitas, and Hanumans presented the Ram Leela. They also enlightened us about the importance of and significance of Vijayadasami or Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated on the tenth day after Navratri. To further enhance the knowledge and understanding students were engaged in making different craft activities and worksheets. The celebrations were completed with the message, Dussehra teaches us that good will always win over evil.
