Prideens of Pre Nursery were taught the sequence and progression of numbers 1-5 through a Caterpillar activity. Multiple segments of a Caterpillar’s body were shaped up into five circles & marked with numbers boldly upon them. Children arranged the numbers in a sequence from 1-5, putting one numeral and then adding another till 5. They were also called one by one by the teacher to fix up the missing number from a pile of other number cards, placed mixed up. Through which children were able to recapitulate the missing numbers as well. This led to an enhancement of their conceptual, cognitive and social development.
